SopCast ist eine P2P TV-Anwendung mit dem ein Empfang von TV-Sender live über das Internet möglich wird. SopCast verteilt im Internet das Livebild internationeler Fernsehsender über eine vom Filesharing gekannte P2P-Technologie. Über diesen Umweg können Anwender in guter Qualität ein TV Programm empfangen, die im deutschen Fernsehen nur verschlüsselt oder überhaupt nicht übertragen werden. Das Programm bietet eine Kanalliste in Tabellenform mit Auswahlmenu für den gewünschten Sender. Über die Option "Config" kann als Sprachdatei "Deutsch" ausgewählt werden, um die Bedienoberfläche zu übersetzen. Voraussetzung für einen guten Empfang ist mindestens ein DSL-Anschluss, Windows Media Player oder RealPlayer.
